Hi, I'm the founder of Us Enduring. I'm a web developer interested in the economy, investing, personal finance and community. I started and am trying to build Us Enduring because I hope to establish a place where people can share with and help their fellow Americans during a challenging economy as well as come and find support and encouragement during a stressful time.

I'm also a business owner trying to prepare my business (and those of my clients) for the coming economic depression. You can learn more about my business here: zerotodigital.com.

Shortly after we moved into our Loudon, New Hampshire home last summer, Eversource (our local electricity provider) raised rates per kWh from $0.08 to $0.11 - leading to an increase in everyone's electricity bills of about 30%. A few months later, that same company increased that rate from $0.11 pe...

We all want to be in charge of our financial futures - not having to report to bosses, spend the next couple decades or more doing things we don't enjoy, being able to enjoy life a little more than we currently do. We may hope that, eventually, "our time will come", but if we don't make wise decisi...

If you're anything like me, you'd like to keep track of how things are going with the United States economy - what to expect for the price of gas and heating oil, interest rates, the housing market and more - before hearing about it on the local news. But, like me, you're not an economist, hedge fu...

Did you lose your job? Are you getting tired of your current job and looking for another? Or just want to see what your options are? Given that we expect many Americans to, unfortunately, lose their jobs over the coming months and years due to an economic downturn, we thought it would be helpful (e...

The Federal Reserve just announced that our nation has hit an all-time high in credit card debt at $930 billion. Considering there are 331 million people in the country (and about 75% of us are adults), that means that the average American adult owes $3,750 in credit card debt. This chart doesn't...

We, as a society, love subscriptions. For a consistent, simple rate, we can get access to certain services, products, food and even clothes on a regular basis. And, since most subscriptions are on a monthly basis, they seem very affordable, too. "$40 for the gym? No big deal." "$20 for that stre...

I came across this video narrated entirely by Warren Buffet: The title is misleading - not once did he mention another crash, let alone it being worse than 1929. But I find it helpful to look back in history when preparing for the future. After all, the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 1:9: "What h...

The other day, I asked the community to share how they were preparing for the economic depression. One of the things that has been on my mind as a real possibility for me, is that I could quite possibly lose my job. And then I was thinking that it might not be a bad idea to actually expect it. Thi...

What are you doing to prepare? One thing that I've been thinking about recently is that preparation, in this case, requires some risk. Risk that an economic depression like that of the 1920s might not occur this time around and that all of the preparations might not be necessary, or end up being a...
